Martie: What is the motivation behind Hummii?
Tyler: The motivation behind Hummii (Healthy+Yummy) is really rooted in my own childhood. Growing up in a large family of 5 kids, we were always on-the-go and snacking while packing into the back of our mom’s minivan.
Bite-sized Muffins, Mini Cookies, Rice Krispy Treats...you name a snack from the late 90’s or early 2000’s and we were most likely devouring it on the way to the next practice or big game.
However, there was just one BIG PROBLEM…
Looking back with both a sense of nostalgia and nutritional awareness, we quickly realized just how unhealthy those snacks were.
With loads of carbs, processed ingredients, & added sugars we were simply lucky enough to make it out of that era alive.
As we got older, there seemed to be an increasing need for a similar sense of fun with these snacks in addition to a cleaner label (without an immense amount of added sugars & empty carbs).
Martie: Ok, what is the Hummiiverse?!
Tyler: The Hummiiverse is the “Healthy+Yummii Snack Universe!” that the Mighty Mascots & these products exist within.
It most likely arose from “cabin fever” during quarantining in early 2020 and has now become a source of comedic relief & just good ol’ fun for the brand.
We even have plans to expand the storytelling with animated shorts from this cartoon world & also have partnered with a screenwriter to develop TV Pilot scripts and concepts…
Martie: What’s the best way to enjoy Hummii?
Tyler: We are big fans of our POINTS! Rainbow Chocolate Candies (available at Martie). They are the ideal low-sugar snack or topping–a delicious, high-fiber, plant-based alternative to traditional rainbow chocolate pieces, aka M&M's.The best way to enjoy them is to listen to whatever that mischievous/fun voice in your head is telling you to do with them.

...While traveling, after/before a workout, as a reward for doing something good, as a reward for not doing something evil, while playing video games, during a movie, or on an awesome hike.

Martie: What has been your biggest “a-ha” moment with launching Hummii?
Tyler: Whenever I see a younger kid or teenager pick up the package and say how cool the characters look & then actually like the product as well. This is when I know we are on to something and can make healthy snacking cool for all ages.
Martie: What’s in the pipeline next for Hummii?
Tyler: Next up we have our highly anticipated protein Mini Muffins coming next year, which are powered by chickpea protein & use upcycled fruit powders. We also have a Peanut POINTS! Flavor which has been planned to launch in Q2 2023.
Martie: What do best by dates mean to Hummii?
Tyler: : Best by dates mean the ideal consumption period for enjoying Hummii Snacks.
However, we usually don’t have to worry too much about those since the product rarely lasts more than 48 hours with a customer before being completely consumed :)
Martie: Why is working with Martie important to Hummii?
Tyler: Martie has been on our radar to partner with for over a year now so this is truly an exciting moment!
